ABOUT SONIA KONG

 

Jesus is my Passion. Empowering is my mission. Teaching is my calling. I am dedicated to the empowerment of God’s people. Using what God has put in my hand to make the kingdoms of this world, the kingdoms of my God. 

In 2000 God called me to ministry and leadership. While attending college, God blessed me and began to prepare me to be a servant. He blessed me with the privilege of re-establishing the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) at my Alma mater, Brooklyn College, where I served as President for three years until  I graduated. During this time I also served under the leadership of Pastor Harry T. Nance (Brooklyn, NY) as the Youth Department President for five years – teaching and being a witness to the youth and young women that Jesus Christ has the power to redeem them no matter where life takes them. God blessed me to teach them first hand that mistakes do not define their destiny. When they come out of it and learn from  it, it becomes an opportunity for ministry.  

In 2005 I also served as the Dance Ministry leader under Pastor Nance and founded and established Praise Dance Central Ministries (PDCM) - A Christian blog and webinar about Dance Ministry. PDCM is a unique ministry. It does not only teach one how to dance unto the Lord, but the focus of PDCM is internal substance, the “stuff” that makes Dance Ministry what it is.

Currently I continue to serve as one of the Dance Ministry Leaders at New Hope Missionary Babptist Church located in Hudson Florida, under the leadership of Pastor Freddie Hinson Jr.
